Kirkton Farm

1 turbine | 67m to blade tip | 500kW

Kirkton Farm wind turbine was developed in partnership with Temporis Wind and granted planning permission by Fife Council in January 2014.

Lomond Energy managed the project from feasibility, through design and planning to consent. The site is located close to the Mossmorran Petrochemical works near Cowdenbeath in Fife.

During the planning application phase Lomond Energy successfully overcame a radar related objection from Edinburgh Airport by reducing the proposed blade tip height from 77m to 67m.
